All Clear Tax & Accounting Pty Ltd was established in 2020 and is based in the leafy Eastern Melbourne suburb of Ringwood North. We’re a small, local business focused on delivering personal and professional services.
Established by Director, Scott Jeffery, who has over 20 years’ experience working in suburban accounting practices.
Scott is a Qualified CPA, a registered Tax Agent, and a registered ASIC Agent.
Originally from Hobart, Scott moved to Melbourne in 1998 to chase his sporting dream and complete his accounting degree. After struggling with the full time student lifestyle (no money) Scott tried his hand as a builders laborer for 6 months before realising he was better suited to a desk life.
So, it was then that he started working part time at a small accounting firm in Balwyn in 1999, to see if he liked the industry that he was investing his study time into. Scott enjoyed the people interactions of the business and quickly took on some accounting functions under the mentorship of the business principal, while he continued his studies part time towards his Accounting Degree at Swinburne University, he grew professionally to be an integral part of the business.
So much so, that he became a Director and Partner, before the business was sold to a medium sized firm in Doncaster on the retirement of the business principal in 2011. Scott moved across to the Doncaster firm, where he worked for 9 years and completed his CPA qualification, before seeking a more balanced and personal approach to client services.
Scott has developed a wide range of professional accounting skills from his 20+ years of experience, across a wide range of industries and business structures. Working predominantly with small-medium businesses, Scott's interpersonal skills allow for a real understanding for how your business works and what opportunities, and threats, exist to be managed.
Scott also has very strong superannuation experience and knowledge of SMSF's. Using industry leading Class software, Scott is able to oversee your SMSF in real time, allowing for meaningful tax planning and timely compliance management.
For many years Scott juggled a professional sporting career with the AFL, as a field umpire. Juggling two professional careers for such a long period, taught Scott the importance of work/life balance. Plus having such a side act, provided many a Monday debrief of the weekend’s footy happenings with colleagues and clients alike. After 18 years and 325 games at the elite AFL level, Scott retired to focus on spending more time with his young family.
Being part of the AFL for such a long time has assisted Scott to develop skills in leadership, people management, conflict resolution, time management, and the importance of general physical and mental wellness. He spent 4 years as an Executive Member of the AFL Umpires Association, of which 2 years were spent as the President. During this period, he oversaw the negotiations for a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with the AFL, the recruitment of a new CEO, and the provision of member based services and programs. These skills have transferred across into Scott's professional and personal life.
His most important role though is at home where he is a husband, a father to 2 boys…..and a golden retriever. Scott enjoys getting away from the hustle and bustle by going camping and fishing. He gives his time to coach his son at the local junior footy club and enjoys seeing the kids grow to develop their skills and mate ships.
